SESSIONS & CONTENT

Slow Bal-Love WEEKs have a total of 16 hours (each) of workshop sessions over 5 days. On top of that, we also provide individual coaching and practice opportunities. We will eat together, hang out, and dance every evening.

As one of the 40 selected attendees per week, you will be asked to fill out a self-assessment form in advance. We will ask you to describe your strengths and weaknesses as a dancer, your motivation and interests, your long-term goals, and your learning goals for the week. As mentors, we will provide a framework and prepare content based on your needs and interests. 

 

There will also be mandatory and voluntary practices where you will get feedback and critiques from both your teachers and your peers.

Slow Balboa is a relatively new dance within the modern dancing scene. For this reason, we will naturally have a strong focus on the original dancers and the fundamentals of the dance. We will also explore what Slow Balboa can be in the context of other slow swing dances and the context of Balboa/Bal-swing. 
 

The social dancing in the evening will of course be to a lot of slow swing music. However faster swing music will also be played occasionally to create a more dynamic social dance experience.

Your instructors will be Natalia Rueda, Olga Marina, Mickey Fortanasce, and Andreas Olsson. 

​

In between sessions, before or after dances, or during your free time you can enjoy the countryside, enjoy a drink with friends, or even have a sauna, a hot tub, or a swim in our saltwater pool. 

WEEK 1: 13.-18.10.2024 (Sun to Fri)

WEEKEND: (18.-20.10.2024) in Prague is included in both WEEKs.
