Slow Bal-Love Challenge

This will be a social Slow Balboa competition open to all dancers. You register as a couple to enter the preliminaries. The judges will choose a small selection of dancers to dance in the final. Any style of Slow Balboa, Bal-swing, and dancing relating to these styles are allowed. Music will be slow swing between 70-100 Bpm. Short choreographed sequences and lifts are allowed, but judges will only be impressed if these are done with rhythm and flow. You will be judged on technique, musicality, and partnership within the couple. The format of the finals will be spotlights.

Entry fee 20 EUR / couple

Pay (in cash) and pick up your number at check-in on Friday (19:00-22:00) at Autoklub.
If you only arrive on Saturday you can pay and pick up the number on Saturday (13:15-13:45) at Autoklub.

Prelims: Saturday at 17:00 @ Autoklub
Finals: Sunday evening @ Autoklub

Slow Balboa Mix & Match

This is a social mix and match competition for all dancers. Leaders and Followers sign up individually. Partners are chosen at random. You will dance with more than one partner and to different tempos. The judges will choose individuals to dance in the final. Any style of Slow Balboa, Bal-Swing or dancing relating to these styles are allowed. Music will be slow swing between 70-100 Bpm. You will be judged on technique, flow, musicality, and partnership. Judges will especially look for your ability to make your partner shine while still keeping your integrity as a dancer. In the finals, you will be judged as individuals.

Fast Feet Balboa Competition

This is a social mix and match, tap in competition. No entry fee, just show up on Friday night. You will dance with more than one partner and to increasingly fast swing music. The judges will choose individuals to dance in the final. In the finals you will be judged as individuals. This is a Pure Balboa competition and dancers are expected to mainly stay in close position. You will be judged on technique, flow, musicality, and partnership. Judges will especially look for your ability to make your partner shine while still keeping your integrity as a dancer.

No fee and no registration is required, just jump in when it's about to start.
